My career began in the heartland of Wisconsin, working as an advertising copywriter and account executive. Senior living found me in 1999 when I joined the corporate headquarters of Classic Residence by Hyatt in Chicago. I took a brief detour and packed my bags for Scotland to serve as International Director of Sales for the Carnegie Clubs. There’s a story there.

Back in the States, I spent over a decade with Mather, taking on a series of escalating leadership roles that let me flex both strategy and creativity: Vice President of Marketing, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, and eventually Vice President and Experience Director of The Mather, a Life Plan Community that opened in 2009 in Evanston, Illinois.

By 2015, I traded Chicago winters for Seattle skies, stepping in as CEO of Horizon House, a single-site trapped in a multi-site body. Then, in true serendipitous fashion, opportunity knocked, and in September 2019, I joined Sequoia Living in San Francisco. Here I found a bold, values-driven team and a Board with an unwavering, 60-plus-year legacy of serving economically diverse older adults in some of the most challenging and rewarding areas of California. Our mission is rooted in healthy, joyful aging and living a life with more belly laughs than belly aches.
