Brad Bushby
VP Sales, Marketing, and Technology
Schlegel Villages
Brad Bushby believes that everyone in an organization is part of the sales and marketing team. Across a career spanning more than 25 years, he has built high-performing teams, developed strong customer partnerships, and led transformational growth across the consumer packaged goods, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and seniors living sectors.
Brad began his career at Labatt Breweries, earning multiple sales performance awards before moving into leadership. At Roche Diabetes Care, he was twice named Salesperson of the Year and went on to lead the organization’s top-performing sales team across Ontario and Eastern Canada. As Director of Sales at Naväge Nasal Care, he helped launch the brand into more than 3,000 Canadian retail stores and 5,000 CVS locations in the U.S., growing annual sales from roughly $2 million to more than $20 million in three years. He later joined MediSystem Pharmacy, a division of Shoppers Drug Mart, where he built strategic partnerships with many of Canada’s leading seniors housing providers — including Schlegel Villages, which invited him to join its executive leadership team.Over the past six years, Brad has helped lead one of Canada’s most respected seniors living organizations through remarkable growth and transformation. He provides strategic leadership across retirement living occupancy, marketing, digital strategy, technology, communications, and customer experience, and has played a key role in maintaining one of the strongest occupancy performances in the Canadian seniors housing sector — approximately 97% across Schlegel’s retirement communities.
Brad has also championed The Green Bench, an award-winning social movement designed to reduce loneliness, combat ageism, and spark meaningful intergenerational conversations. As Executive Producer of The Green Bench documentary, he helped bring the movement’s story to audiences across North America — part of a movement now embraced internationally by communities, organizations, and municipalities.A believer that technology should enhance human connection rather than replace it, Brad has led the integration of AI, CRM modernization, and data-driven decision making while keeping relationships at the centre of everything Schlegel Villages does. A graduate of Lakehead University and Confederation College, he remains committed to building communities where older adults can live with purpose, connection, and dignity.
