Zackory Erickson

Zackory Erickson is an Assistant Professor in The Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, where he leads the Robotic Caregiving and Human Interaction (RCHI) Lab. His research focuses on developing new AI and hardware technologies for robots to physically interact with and assist people. He and his students have won several best paper awards based on their research in assistive robotics, including deploying robots in older adult community homes and robotic technologies that enable people with severe motor impairments to perform activities in their own home again. Zackory received his PhD in Robotics and M.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech and B.S. in Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse.
